The event will host some of the world’s leading experts on Lipoedema, who will discuss pathophysiology, clinical and instrumental diagnosis and conservative and surgical treatment. The speeches will have a didactic character to facilitate the learning of the notions about this illness. 

Lipoedema is still a little-known condition and although it affects many women worldwide effective diagnostic and therapeutic approaches are still thinly spread. 

Being Lipoedema of multi-disciplinary and multi-professional interest, the congress is open to physicians, physical therapists, psychologists and nutritionists. It is particularly relevant  for specialists of Lymphology, Phlebology, Dermatology, Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine.

The necessity of sharing the most updated notions about it is mandatory after the official recognition of Lipoedema as desease by W.H.O, that included it on the International Classification of Diseases 11th revision (EF02 code).
