Maxillary and Mandibular Reconstruction Symposium with Cadaveric Free Flap Dissection Course for Head and Neck Reconstruction

This is a three-day course hosted by the head and neck department of Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, held at two separate locations.

About this Event

Day One – Chris O’Brien Lifehouse Mandibular and Maxillary Reconstruction Symposium

We are bringing together experts from around Australia to discuss the latest approaches in mandibular and maxillary reconstruction. We will discuss state-of-the-art techniques including visual surgical planning, 3D printing, dental rehabilitation and prosthetic reconstruction.


The symposium on day 1 is a free event with limited seating. Participants enrolled in the Cadaveric Dissection Course for Head and Neck Microvascular Reconstruction will be automatically registered for this symposium.


Days Two and Three – Anatomy Laboratory at Macquarie University Hands-on dissection with fresh frozen cadavers Dissectors will have the opportunity to raise a variety of free flaps, including soft tissue flaps from the upper limbs, torso, groin, lower limbs, and osseous free flaps. There is a cost associated with days 2 and 3 for access to the laboratory and cadavers.
