Interview with Dr Kane about private health insurers differences on cancer, burns and accidents

“One in nine women will get breast cancer in their lifetime and if you have private insurance and you have ticked the plastic surgery exclusion you cannot have a reconstruction.”

“What most people seem to think when they are buying policies with these exclusions is that they are opting not to purchase coverage for procedures such as face lifts or breast augmentations,” president of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, Dr Tony Kane said.
