Specialist Plastic Surgeons report increased demand for procedures as practices re-open

Specialist plastic surgeons across Australia are experiencing strong demand for both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures across all States in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We are experiencing a lot of pent up demand following the shut down of elective procedures, and now that practices and private hospitals are re-opening people are seeking a range of plastic surgery procedures from cosmetic fillers to removal of skin cancers,” says Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons president, Dr Dan Kennedy.

The procedures being sought are largely consistent with those pre-pandemic. Read more.
