The Australasian Foundation for Plastic Surgery Limited (the Foundation) Plastic and Reconstructive Surgical (PRS) Research Grant aims to support and promote early-career plastic surgery related research. The Grant provides catalyst funding to initiate and sustain innovative research projects relevant to the Specialty of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Mr Richard Barnett, Chairman, The Foundation, noted the very high quality of proposals received in 2017 and is pleased to announce the Foundation’s 2017 research grant was awarded to PRS Registrar Dr Kyra Sierakowski.

The Foundation grant will enable Dr Sierakowski, South Australia, to undertake research to develop “Hand-Q”: a patient reported outcome suitable for clinical application with hand surgery patients.
