ASPS welcomes Mr Kim Hanna as new CEO
The Council of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Kim Hanna as Chief Executive Officer effective 20 August 2021. Mr Hanna will replace current CEO Mr Keith Bryant who announced his intention to step down in April. Keith remains CEO until 19th August.
Kim’s exceptional track record as Chief Operating Officer of ASPS since his appointment in 2016 provides the perfect foundation for his role as CEO.
“Kim’s comprehensive and consistent achievements in his current executive role set him apart as a results-oriented leader,” said ASPS President, Dr Dan Kennedy.
“Kim brings with him a tremendous wealth of knowledge about the Society, important established relationships with key external stakeholders in government, college affairs and the community, a strong, loyal and supportive team of staff as well as a unique set of skills and perspectives. This, coupled with his demonstrated ability to transform strategy into solid outcomes, will continue to drive the success of the Society.”
Kim’s previous positions include: Executive Officer Dictionary of Sydney, General Manager Art Month Sydney and several substantive management roles at the Australia Council for the Arts. He is a graduate of the University of Adelaide, University of Technology Sydney, and University of New England. He has completed leadership courses at Columbia University, Asialink and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
ASPS President Dan Kennedy said “I am grateful for the unanimous endorsement by the Council of Kim as CEO. We are looking forward to beginning the next phase of the ASPS’s journey under Kim’s leadership.”
