2026 Australasian SET Registrars Conference

Attendance at the conference is compulsory for all SET Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Trainees in Australia and New Zealand unless you are attending the 2026 SET Induction Conference. SIMGs are also invited to attend.

The program will run over five days, from 15 March to 19 March 2026. The SET Conference will be held in Perth for two consecutive years, with the aim of broadly covering the main components of the curriculum across this period. The guiding principles of the lecture program are to present current best practices and to support preparation for the FEX exam.

A Practice Exam will be held on Saturday 14 March, for invited trainees only, and SIMGs (subject to availability), who intend on sitting the Fellowship in 2026. Due to the ongoing trend of increasing participant numbers, combined with capacity limits and small patient and examiner pools, the Training Board has excluded ‘observers’ effective 2026 to maintain the sustainability of the practice exam.

The main compulsory days will be Sunday 15 March to Thursday 19 March.

• Wound Healing
• Necrotising fasciitis
• Head and neck ablation and reconstruction
• Orthognathic
• Breast recon and lymphatic surgery
• Breast Aesthetics
• Skin Cancer
• Lower Limb reconstruction

The Social Program will include a Welcome Drinks function on Sunday 15 March and a formal Conference Dinner on Wednesday 18 March. These events will facilitate networking with your peers and industry sponsors.
