2026 SET Induction Conference

The conference comprises both lectures and practical training sessions held over three locations in the beautiful city of Brisbane. Proceedings commence on Tuesday 17 February and conclude on Friday 20 February 2026 or Saturday 21 February for Trainees in Group C.

The program commences with a cadaveric dissection workshop focusing on exposures in hand, wrist and craniomaxillofacial surgery. The Sawbone workshop covering fixation principles in the hand and craniomaxillofacial skeletons is covered on the second day, whilst day 3 equips trainees with a research toolkit to negotiate academic tasks throughout training. Day 3 also covers the management of skin cancer. The final day features microsurgical principles and practice lecturers covering nerve regeneration and repair as well as microsurgical pharmacology.

This conference is compulsory for Australasian SET Induction Trainees.

The social program will include ASPS Welcome drinks on Tuesday evening and a Conference dinner on Wednesday night 18 February.

A bus will depart and return to the Sofitel Brisbane Central each day. The Sofitel have offered a discounted rate of $310 per night including breakfast if booked before the 16 January 2026 on the following link.
