Assoc Prof Nicola Dean

Dr Dean is a Specialist Plastic Surgeon and the Head of Unit for a public teaching hospital Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She does not perform any purely cosmetic surgery, as her main focus is on cancer reconstruction, trauma and surgery to correct problems of physical function. She has strong links with Flinders University and is involved in both teaching and research. Much of her research is on understanding the patient’s perspective on the outcomes of surgery.
