Dr Jonathan Burge

Jonathan Burge completed his plastic surgical training in New Zealand then undertook a further two years of subspecialty training in craniomaxillofacial surgery. He completed a year at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto in paediatric craniofacial surgery. He then went on to work as a head and neck surgeon in Cochin, Southern India. Here he was involved in resecting and reconstructing challenging head and neck cancers. He also undertook a cosmetic surgical fellowship for six months at The New Zealand Institute of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery.

Jonathan is section chief of Craniofacial Surgery at The Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne. Here he works as a paediatric craniofacial and plastic surgeon and is actively involved in teaching and clinical management of complex craniofacial cases. He operates privately at St Vincent’s Private Hospital, both Kew and East Melbourne Campus (previously Mercy Private), Cotham Private Hospital and Frances Perry.
