Dr Joseph Overland

Dr Joe Overland is a Plastic Surgeon based in Melbourne. He completed his accredited plastic surgery training in Victoria, with rotations spanning Alfred Health, Austin Health, Royal Melbourne Hospital, Royal Children’s Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital, and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

He holds a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Adelaide and a Graduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy from the University of Melbourne and is currently completing a PhD at the University of Melbourne. His research focuses on peripheral nerve injury and regeneration.

He holds concurrent appointments at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Alfred Hospital, Western Health and the Royal Women’s Hospital. Joe’s areas of expertise include microsurgical reconstruction for complex trauma and oncological defects, hand, wrist and peripheral nerve surgery. Joe does not currently consult from private rooms whilst he focuses on his research.
