Professional Profile
Dr Wysun Wong BSc (Hons), PhD, MBBS, FRACS (Plast) is a Perth born Australian trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He completed a PhD in melanoma treatment at the QEII Medical Centre in Perth before studying medicine in Queensland, graduating in 2001. He returned to Western Australia for his surgical training and gained Fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in plastic and reconstructive surgery in 2011 after five years of intensive training in all aspects of adult and paediatric plastic surgery. Wysun was then accepted to participate in a highly sought after Hand and Upper limb fellowship at Middlemore Hospital in New Zealand for a further 12 months of training in hand and wrist surgery.
Dr Wong’s areas of special interest includes: hand and wrist surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, skin cancer surgery and reconstructive microsurgery.
