Dr Yasantha Rajapakse

Dr Rajapakse graduated from Otago University, New Zealand in 1995 and has been practicing medicine for 20 years and surgery for 15 years.

Dr Rajapakse has a sub specialty interest in all aspects of plastic surgery of the Breast and Skin. He has trained extensively in Australasia, Europe and the US. After completing his plastic surgical residency Australia and New Zealand he then moved to Europe to further refine skills in aesthetic and microsurgical plastic surgery. He spent time after completion of his residency in Sevilla, Southern Spain working with leading surgeons in Continental Europe. This was followed by further training in all aspect of microsurgical breast reconstruction and aesthetic breast surgery at St Thomas Hospital, London UK, and the prestigious London cancer hospital, the Royal Marsden.

He performs both immediate and delayed breast reconstruction as well as other breast surgeries including breast augmentation, breast reduction, mastopexy and fat grafting. He also has a keen interest in all aspects of Skin Cancer including various reconstructive techniques.

On a holistic level Dr Rajapakse, a keen practitioner of meditation and yoga and believes that in a similar manner recovery from an operation is a mindset and looking good is very much a function of feeling great.
