Dr Yezen Sheena

Dr Sheena is an internationally trained Plastic Surgeon with over 15 years of experience across cosmetic, reconstructive, and trauma surgery. He specialises in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery, microsurgery, body contouring, skin cancer, and hand surgery.

After graduating from University College London in 2006, Dr Sheena trained in general surgery across London, Oxford, and Birmingham before completing specialist Plastic Surgery training in Cambridge. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2017 and went on to complete a renowned Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Fellowship in Chelmsford, UK.

In 2019, Dr Sheena moved to Perth, WA, completing senior fellowships at Royal Perth Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, and the Rodin Clinic, focusing on high-volume trauma, cancer reconstruction, and aesthetic surgery.

Since 2023, he has served as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon for Gold Coast Health, working across Robina, Varsity Lakes, and Gold Coast University Hospitals. He leads the Breast Reconstruction Multi-Disciplinary Team and offers the full range of reconstructive techniques, including implant-based, microsurgical (free flaps), and fat-grafting methods, as well as cosmetic breast procedures such as augmentation, lift and reduction.

Dr Sheena holds dual fellowships in Plastic Surgery (FRCS England and FRACS Australia), making him the only plastic surgeon on the Gold Coast with this distinction. He is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Griffith University and actively contributes to surgical education and clinical research.

Known for his meticulous approach and patient-centred care, Dr Sheena combines surgical precision with clear communication to ensure every patient receives tailored, high-quality outcomes. He consults privately at The Lotus Institute and QLD BreastCare Centre and operates at multiple Ramsey Health Hospitals.

Outside medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, and playing sports.
