Mr Iraj Ahmadi

Dr Iraj Ahmadi is a fully qualified specialist plastic and reconstructive surgeon based in Melbourne. After graduating from Monash University medical school in 2009, Iraj pursued his passion through a career in surgery and after completing a rigorous selection and training process, was awarded recognition as a fellow of the prestigious Royal Australian College of Surgeons in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Iraj’s further training has involved completing a Master of Surgery from the University of Sydney, his dissertation looking at improving the surgical outcomes of complex microsurgical procedures for cancer and trauma reconstruction. He has maintained his professional development not only presenting ongoing research at international meetings and conferences, but also teaching anatomy at the University of Melbourne and being a research supervisor for surgeons in training.

Iraj is dedicated to building positive therapeutic relationships with his patients to provide the best possible care in all aspects of their treatment. He works as a consultant plastic surgeon publicly at Monash Health and Western Health, performing head/neck and breast cancer reconstruction as well as general plastic and hand surgery. He has also completed further aesthetic surgery training with eminent surgeons in Australia to provide a broad range of procedures for his patients.
