Mr Jaeme Zwart

Dr Jaeme Zwart is an Australian trained Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. He completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland in 1995 and completed his advanced surgical training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2005when he was awarded his fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He has trained in all the major Queensland metropolitan hospitals. He is also a member of the Australian Medical Association.

Dr Jaeme Zwart has practised privately and publicly in Cairns since July 2005. He has a keen interest in Breast Reconstruction, hand surgery and microsurgery. He is involved in the training and teaching of both trainees, residents and medical students at the Cairns Hospital and has been a constant advocate for Plastic Surgical services to Far North Queensland since moving to Cairns in 2005.

Dr Zwart has enjoyed the experience of being involved with several trips to Papua New Guinea and Fiji with the Rotary International Interplast team. Interplast is a not-for-profit organization working to empower our neighbours through surgical treatment for patients and training for local medical staff.
