Mr Malcolm Linsell
BSc MBBS MS FRACS (Plast)

Professional Profile
Dr Malcolm Linsell is a fully trained Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon who consults from our Cairns and Rockhampton practices.
Malcolm has a rich heritage in the Salvation Army and wanting to ‘make a difference’ has been at his core for many years. At the age of 13, he was inspired to become a Plastic Surgeon following a Plastic Surgical procedure performed on his hand. Almost 25 years later, he graduated as a Plastic Surgeon becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). He studied at Monash University, initially attaining a Bachelor of Science (BSc) before attaining the basic medical degree, a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a subsequent Masters of Surgery (MS).
Malcolm’s finds particular pleasure in two specialised areas. Firstly, in managing those with skin cancer, he enjoys the long-term relationships that are often developed with his patients. Secondly, he enjoys rejuvenating and restoring a mother’s body back to how she used to be prior to her pregnancies. Whether these be procedures on her tummy, breasts or face (or all three), he has consistently found that the increased confidence this brings, has a woman feeling more feminine, positively impacting her family and those around her.
Malcolm spends time to listen and fully understand his patient’s desires before discussing the expected outcome, so that every patient feels heard and fully informed.
