Mr Remo Papini

Remo Papini is a highly experienced consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Sir Charles Gairdner and Osborne Park Hospitals, with 17 years of specialist practice in the UK and Australia.

Graduating in 1984 at the Royal Free Hospital in London, Remo obtained his Surgical Fellowship in 1990. Having completed a rigorous Plastic Surgery training in the UK, and obtaining his Plastic Surgical Fellowship in 1998 Remo made his move to Perth Australia, where he became the first Plastic Surgery Fellow to work along-side Professor Fiona Wood.

In 1999 Remo returned to the UK where he worked as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the University Hospital Birmingham, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and, Heart of England NHS trust for 14 years, with 6 of these years where he served as Burn Unit Director.

Together with his wife and four children, Remo made the move back to Perth in 2012 and is now a West Australia resident and an active member of the State Sarcoma Service.

He has published over 30 papers and several book chapters.

He undertakes a wide variety of soft tissue reconstruction as the Plastic Surgeon attached to the Sarcoma service, as well as Breast and abdominal reconstruction. Since 2005 he has carried out a large number of body contouring procedures, especially in those patients who have had profound weight loss, and has attended many national and international meetings on this subject.

He regularly attends national and international cosmetic surgery meetings to remain abreast of current developments and techniques.
