Mr Richard Barton

Richard Barton is a Melbourne Specialist Plastic Surgeon with a particular focus on facial aesthetic surgery, including facelift, neck lift, brow lift, blepharoplasty, and rhinoplasty. His practice also includes breast and body surgery, post-weight-loss body contouring, and gender-affirming procedures.

He completed his plastic surgery training in Melbourne before undertaking a dual international fellowship in microsurgical reconstruction and adult craniomaxillofacial surgery, with appointments at Oxford University Hospitals in the United Kingdom and the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.

Alongside private practice, Dr Barton serves as Director of Head and Neck Cancer Surgery at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, where he leads Victoria’s largest head and neck cancer service. He is also the Director of the International Advanced Microsurgical Fellowship at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and an elected member of ASPS Council.

He is known for a careful, measured approach to patient care — taking the time to understand what matters most to each patient, and ensuring they feel well informed and supported from the first consultation through to full recovery.

He consults from Kew in Melbourne, with additional rooms in Lilydale and Mildura.
