Dr Rowan Gillies is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with a fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and has undertaken a Senior Clinical Fellowship at Harvard Medical School as well as a Clinical Observership at the Jules Verne Clinic, Nantes, France. Dr Gillies has a specific interest in reconstruction following skin cancer, lower limb reconstruction, head and neck reconstruction, breast reconstruction and the management of severe burns and trauma. He has spent a significant part of his career overseas, working as a general doctor, administrator and surgeon with Medecins Sans Frontieres and is currently on the board of Interplast.
