Dr Jake Lim is a fully qualified Sydney trained Plastic Surgeon specialising in cosmetic surgery procedures. Dr Lim is currently a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS) and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). The letters FRACS are an indication of successful completion of specialist surgery training and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons is the only statutory recognised body for training surgeons in Australia. After completing five years of medical training at The University of Sydney and following his passion for surgery, Dr Lim embarked on a further 15 years of general and plastic surgery training before being awarded his FRACS (plastics) under the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. At the completion of his plastic surgery training, Dr Lim visited centres in the United Kingdom and Europe to further his interest and knowledge in cosmetic surgery. Dr Lim's practice specialises in facial plastic, cosmetic breast and body contouring surgery. Dr Lim's skills have been enhanced in these areas following his travels abroad to renowned centres in London and Sweden, which specialise in cosmetic breast and facial cosmetic surgery. Dr Lim regularly attends Plastic and Aesthetic (cosmetic) conferences to keep abreast of the latest developments in plastic and cosmetic surgery. Dr Lim performs all major surgery at fully accredited hospitals with fully qualified anaesthetists. Minor procedures are performed under local anaesthetic in the medical suites.
