Q&A with Dr Milap Rughani
Dr. Milap Rughani discusses squamous cell carinoma and scalp reconstruction in this new Q&A.
Dr Rughani is a Specialist Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon focused on skin cancer excision and facial reconstruction procedures. He undertook his tertiary studies at the University of Leeds. Having obtained a Bachelor of Science (First class Honours), and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He is both a member of The Royal College of Surgeons in England FRCS (Plast) and a Fellow of the Australasian College of Surgeons FRACS (Plast).
Since obtaining his Fellowships, Dr. Rughani worked as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital. Here he spent 5 years performing major surgery for cancer and trauma patients.
Dr. Rughani has an active interest in research. He has undertaken extensive postgradutate research in Melanoma at the Univeristy of Oxford and at the Melanoma Institute Australia. He is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Queensland, and a regular invited speaker at national and international meetings and conferences.
