Specialist International Medical Graduates
Eligible Specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMGs), who wish to gain one of the nine specialty qualifications, may apply for surgical training posts. For more information, visit the RACS website and the Australian Medical Council (AMC).
International medical graduates in Australia: A survey report on the experiences, perceptions and decision factors of migrating doctors
This report is part of a broader stream of work by the Australian Medical Council (AMC), the International Medical Graduate Assessment Experiences and Performance project, which is designed to improve understanding of the journeys of international medical graduates and the contribution that they make once they are in the workforce. The report is based on a survey undertaken as part of that project in August 2023.
